Sharecast, September 14, 2011 - BI-MONTHLY Add-ons, WEEKLY Fruit

Summer is winding down and we should expect to see a decrease in the abundance of veggies from the farm. Also, while Norwich Meadows fared well in the hurricane, there was substantial flooding from the remnants of Tropical Storm Lee last week and this may affect yields.

VEGETABLES:

  • Greens -  0.75 lbs
  • Mini bell - 8 each
  • Squash - 1.8 lbs
  • Tomatoes - 1.4 lbs
  • Heirloom tomatoes - 1.4 lbs OR 1 tomato if heavier than 1.4 lbs
  • Lettuce - 1
  • Corn - 2
  • Pole beans - 0.3 lbs

FRUIT:

  • yello plums - 1 quart
  • white peaches - 3 lbs.
  • red plums - 2 lbs.
  • apples - 4.75 lbs.

Reader Comments (1)

White peaches are good because they have lower acidity than the yellow ones.
